Rajasthan – Magical Land for International Tourists

Posted on 23:27 by Unknown
Rajasthan is known for its vivid colors. The royal splendor, affluence, and power of the Rajputs made them synonymous with the land they ruled, even though they were just handful in number. The rich architectural inheritance of Rajasthan includes most highly wrought palaces that have now been turned into museums or luxury heritage hotels and lure tourists with their delicate and unique features. Some of the most luxurious and well-preserved palaces that you can live in now include Lake Palace, Udai Vilas, Raj Vilas palace, and Samode Palace.

Forts in Rajasthan were meant to display the strength of the Kings and the ferociousness of its soldiers. They stood as sentinels over hilltops to watch over the cities below and make it difficult for the enemy to enter the fort stealthily. The defense mechanisms in the fort were strategically employed to stop the onslaught of the enemy. Nearly all these forts have interesting legends – historical, folklore, or mythological – attached to them. Some of the most magnificent masterpieces are Golden Fort in Jaisalmer, Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, Amber Fort and Jaigarh Fort in Jaipur, and Junagarh Fort in Bikaner. International tourists are awestruck by the sublime beauty that is displayed in the buildings inside these rugged-looking forts.

Vibrant and bright colors and festivities form one of the distinguishing features of Rajasthan. If you want to see the authentic Rajasthani culture and lifestyle, you must visit its fairs and watch the folk-dance performances of the land that are now internationally renowned. Held annually in November, Pushkar Fair is held in a small town of the same name that is situated just 11 km from the more famous city of Ajmer. The town of Pushkar is situated around the sacred Pushkar Lake, where thousands of lamps are lit and floated in the evening.

International tourists love unique tourism opportunities that Rajasthan presents such as Desert Safaris. Camel Safari is very popular and foreign tourists love to ride the camels into the remotest villages of Thar Desert like camel caravans of the medieval times. The bonfire parties and desert camps under the star-lit skies at the night come alive with folk-dances by world-famous artistes. Wildlife presents yet another tourist attraction of Rajasthan. Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is a paradise for bird lovers and is quite well known as the favorite haunt for migratory birds. Hundreds of bird species make it their home while rare Siberian Cranes come to the place in winters.

Ranthambore National park not only presents historical and bio-diversity richness but also unique geographical features. The Great Boundary Fault at the point where Aravalis and Vindhyas meet and changing landscapes as deciduous forests fade to semi-arid flora and fauna offer a variety that you will find really interesting. Ranthambore is one of the smallest but most renowned tiger reserve in North India and has a reputation for being the best site to spot rare Royal Bengal Tigers, leopards, sambhar, nilgai, wild dogs, and chinkaras among several other wild beast species.

Rajasthan is one of the most popular tourist destinations of India. A Rajasthan Tour showcases indomitable and jubilant human spirit that can harness extreme climates, barren landscapes, and harsh environs not only to survive but also to celebrate life.
