Posted on 23:38 by Unknown
The New Delhi, Jaipur, Agra circuit is popularly known as the golden triangle in the tourist circles. New Delhi is the capital of Indian Republic. Jaipur is the capital city of the state of Rajasthan. Agra is a famous city of Uttar Pradesh state. The tour commences with your landing at the New Delhi airport. Cabs are easily available for this entire tour or you may board the buses provided by the tours and travels agencies.

There are several locations worth seeing in and around Delhi. The Lotus temple is a Bahai prayer house. Jantar Mantar observatory, Gandhi Smarak, Mughal monuments and of course Palika Market are a must visit in New Delhi. Red Fort with its sound and light entertainment mechanism that is accessible in the evening makes an interesting place for tourists to visit if they are interested in the history of India. The parathe wali gali is a place where everyone loves to eat various types of stuffed parathas. The snacks of Old Delhi are also very famous. Qutab minar and the Adi Katyayani Shakteepeeth temple nearby will entice you.

Agra is the home of world famous Taj Mahal which was built by the Mughal Emperor ShahJahan in the fond memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz. This marble monument is an icon that has been used on the world map to represent India and is indeed among the wonders of the world. If Egypt is famous for pyramids, India is indeed famous for Taj Mahal. The confectionery called “Petha” of Agra is very famous and tasty. It comes in several varieties and you must not miss them. There are several goodies that you would love to purchase from the local market of Agra, including miniatures of Taj Mahal to carry home as mementos.

Jaipur comes next in this tour and is well known as the pink city of India because at some time in history, most of the buildings were pink colored in this city. The Amer and Jaigarh forts are examples of architecture based on combination of Rajput and Moughal styles. These forts have several amazing relics that you would love to see. You would enjoy being at the city palace and the Jantar mantar observatory. The local foodscape of Jaipur is exotic and the flavor of these dishes is heavenly. The activities of monkeys in the local market will make you burst into peals of laughter. There are several items in the market of Jaipur that can be taken home as memorabilia.

India is indeed a treasure house for tourism. There is a lot you can see and feel the change that comes forth within and around you after touring in India. Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi are three states of India that are well known for their hospitality and you would definitely agree with this notion once you have traveled in India. The Golden Triangle gives a glimpse of northern and western India and brings with it various flavors that tourists love to relish. Welcome to the Golden Triangle.
